Saturday Craft Workshops - 2019 Programme
(OPEN TO EVERYONE)
All of the sessions are suitable for beginners and more experienced crafters alike. The aim is to create something individually, whilst enjoying each others company.
Saturday 7 September : Needle felting for beginners; learn how to needle felt and create some autumn decorations (four spaces still available).
Saturday 5 October : Glass Painting; use some glass paints and outliners to decorate candle holders, vases or jars.
Saturday 16 November : Patchwork Christmas Decorations; stitch some unusual decorations using Christmas fabrics.
Saturday 7 December : Winter Green Decorations; begin your festivities by making an advent ring or table decoration using greenery from the hedgerow and co-ordinated accessories.
Each workshop will run from 10.00am until 3.00pm, costing £15
An extra charge may be required for some resources. Please bring your own lunch. Hot and cold drinks will be available throughout the day. You will be given/sent a list of items to bring along for your specific workshop. To book a place ring 01566 784990 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Other activities that can be offered:
Fabric broaches; making two difference styles of broach from scraps of fabric. Fabric can be supplied or bring along some of your offcuts.
Egg blowing and decorating; empty out some eggs, decorate and create a colourful springtime mobile.
Wet felting for beginners; have a go at making a piece of hand-made felt to turn into a purse or a wall hanging.
Silk painting; make abstract patterns or paint a picture using silks and paints. Show off your works of art, on some greetings cards or in a picture frame.
Funky Birds; hand sew and embroider some cute, funky fabric birds to sit on your windowsill.
Fabric printing and painting; decorate an apron, bag or tea towel using fabric paint and stamps.
